Have you considered exposing the Flake service using a Thrift interface? I'll try to take a stab at it, but have to learn just-enough-Erlang first

Not planning to include or support a thrift endpoint. An http endpoint is on the roadmap as an alternative to erlang gen_calls. Unsure exactly what a lighter-weight gen_call alternative will look like. Perhaps protobufs.
