PowerToys should offer an optional sign-in or export settings feature that syncs user settings across devices.
Why it matters:
I use PowerToys on both my desktop & laptop. Right now, I have to manually configure each machine separately.
The problem:
- No easy way to keep settings consistent across devices
- Manual setup takes time
- Changes on one machine do not carry over to the other
Expected result:
I sign in once, install PowerToys on another machine, and my settings follow me.

I use a desktop at one workstation and a laptop when I’m mobile. I want PowerToys to behave the same on both.
Current workflow:
When I update settings on one device, I have to remember what changed and manually repeat it on the other machine.
Why this matters:
PowerToys is meant to improve productivity. Rebuilding the same setup across multiple devices does the opposite.
Best use case:
This would be especially helpful for users who regularly switch between a desktop and laptop and want a consistent workflow without extra setup.
Supporting information
This would work like settings sync in other Microsoft products and would make PowerToys easier to adopt across multiple devices.
A few options that would make this even better:
Optional sync, not required
Ability to choose which modules/settings sync
Easy restore when setting up a new machine
This would save time, reduce friction, and make PowerToys more useful for people who work across multiple PCs.
