log4j EOL

Hi,

At https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse we noticed http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/ has gone EOL. Are there any plans to update this library to use a non-EOL version or switch to a different logging library (such as java util logging)?

Thanks for spotting that! There is currently no active maintenance on this specific library from within the SWORD team. I'd be happy to look at a PR for an upgrade or dependency switch, if you wanted to make one, though.

Thanks @richard-jones, yeah, we can consider that. Let me bring it to the Dataverse team/community to see what they think. We plan to support SWORDv2 for the near future at least so it would be good to make this contribution here.
